No. Many businesses run Docker containers with Compose on one server, or on a managed service such as Cloud Run, ECS or Azure Container Apps. Kubernetes is only worth it when you have many services and a team to run it.
Is Docker free for our business?
Docker Engine is open source and free to use on servers. Docker Desktop is free for small businesses and personal use but needs a paid plan above Docker's size and revenue limits, so check their current terms.
